Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw also known by her stage name Elizabeth Alice MacGraw has been a model, actor and advocate for animal rights in the US. Her name is well-known for movies such as Love Story (1970) Goodbye Columbus (1969) and The Getaway (1972). In New York, she was born and raised into an artistic family. In the beginning she was employed as an photographer's assistant. Later on she shifted her focus to modeling and directing. The first two films she appeared in, she was recognized and won the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Young Actress. MacGraw quickly became famous in the year 1970 following her hit movie Love Story. She was considered for nomination to an Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. She was named the best female box-office actress in the globe after just three movies. The handprints of her signature, as well as footprints were made in 1972 at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. She was a part of several other films including The Getaway Convoy Players and the miniseries on TV The Winds of War among others. Her autobiography Moving Pictures was published in 1991.
