Zoe-perry

Perry was born to actors Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. Her first television roles included two roles in the role of Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) in the ABC sitcom Roseanne which was played by her mom. She did not pursue acting as a career until after she had reached adulthood, as her parents were concerned about the adverse impact stress might cause. Perry she was shy for acting in school, began to perform in theater classes at Northwestern University because she wanted to meet new people. Perry began her career with New York after graduation, landing minor parts on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, the feeling of homelessness made Perry return to California and pursue a career as a stage actress. Perry starred with her mother on stage in The Other Place at Broadway, back in 2013. Perry was in the show with the father of her character Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in 2015 at The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry played a part in nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family during 2016. She had a regular role in the ABC political drama Scandal, starring her dad. The actress was also featured on her role on the CBS show The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger of Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mom. The role was offered to her through an open audition despite being connected to this character.
