Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise is a popular American author, performer and actress who is well-known for her role as Ginger Grant in the 1960s television series Gilligan's Island. Her stage career began in the mid 1950s when she appeared in Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. She continued to perform in various Broadway productions, before becoming huge in the national theater scene with Li'l Abner's in 1957. She also released her first album, titled It's Time to Tina that same year. Louise's first foray in Hollywood was as Griselda as Griselda in the film God's Small Acre, a 1958 film. The film was met with wide acclaim. Louise won the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the year category. In the years prior to this she was a student at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her tutor. Her next memorable role came through in 1964 when she signed with CBS for the role of Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise continued to have a successful professional career, balancing Broadway television and Hollywood and portraying an empathetic rather than the glamour doll image she was perceived. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The SG-1 series and Sanctuary but she also established herself as an accomplished television director on several series including Supernatural as well as The 100. Her birth date was the 28th of August, 1965, in Essex. When she was 3, her family moved her to Toronto which is where she spent the majority of her childhood. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 for the part and has remained there ever since.
